箴 1:3 使人处事，领受智慧，仁义，公平（密西帕特）、正直的训诲。
箴1：3中的“公平”的原文为密西帕特，意思是判断人或事，可以翻为“审判”、“论断”等等。人进行判断，一定有其标准，对照从人或事情的现状比较，就象考试一样。判断的后面一定跟着后续动作。
《箴言书》使用密西帕特共20次, 和合本根据具体情况翻成公平、审判、公道、判断、定事。 我把对于密西帕特一贯的理解揉入意译中，表格中附上 NKJV (1982) 英文版，供熟悉英文的读者参考。

| 11 | 17:23 恶人暗中受贿赂，为要颠倒判断(密西帕特)。 意译：恶人暗中受贿赂，为要颠倒公正的宣决。 A wicked man accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the ways of justice. |
| 12 | 18:5 瞻徇恶人的情面，偏断(密西帕特)义人的案件，都为不善。 意译：与和合本相同！ It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, Or to overthrow the righteous in judgment. |

| 15 | 21:7 恶人的强暴，必将自己扫除。因他们不肯按公平(密西帕特)行事。 意译：恶人的强暴，必将自己扫除。因他们拒绝做出明智的判决。 The violence of the wicked will destroy them, because they refuse to do justice. |
| 16 | 21:15 秉公行义(密西帕特)，使义人喜乐，使作孽的人败坏。 意译：内心公正、凡事做出正切的判断是喜乐的事，但是人作孽一定是走向灭亡的。 It is a joy for the just to do justice, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. |
